McCabe/Grigorenko/Makarov: Goaltender Andrey Makarov was the story as Russia edged the United States 2-1. Makarov made 41 saves – including several big ones early – and was selected as Russia’s player of the game. Grigorenko was held pointless, but recorded a team-high five shots. Defenseman Jake McCabe acquitted himself well on the PK in a losing effort for Team USA.
