SABRES TO HOST DRAFT PARTY

Buffalo Sabres
The excitement continues to build for the Buffalo Sabres NHL Entry Draft Party, set for this Friday at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery from 3-10 p.m. Bring the whole family for an evening of Sabres fun while enjoying one of the world’s finest collections of modern and contemporary art. The event is free and open to fans of all ages, with activities taking place at various locations around the Art Gallery. Parking is also free, and will be available across the street at Buffalo State College.

Sabres forwards Tim Connolly and Adam Mair will be available for autographs in Clifton Hall starting at 7:30 p.m. To avoid long lines, there will be a limited number of autograph line tickets available. Ticket distribution will begin at 6 p.m. outside the front entrance of Clifton Hall. Fans will be asked to return to the lineup area at 7 p.m. There is a limit of one autograph per person. No staged photographs please.

Kevin Sylvester will host a roundtable discussion featuring Sabres Alumni Rob Ray and Mike Robitaille from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Gallery Auditorium. Fans will be able to watch live video coverage of the 2009 Entry Draft from the Bell Centre in Montreal beginning at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.

WGR Sports Radio 550 will broadcast live pre-draft coverage from the Albright-Knox beginning at 3 p.m. with hosts Mike Schopp and The Bulldog, followed by draft analysis with Brian Koziol and Nick Mendola at 7 p.m. Paul Hamilton will be on-site in Montreal providing live reports. 

Kids will have the opportunity to play street hockey in the Art Gallery’s front parking lot. They are asked to bring their own sticks, and all children under 12 must bring and wear a helmet. Maria Genero will be hosting a Q&A session with Sabretooth beginning at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium. There will also be several inflatable activities, interactive games and hockey-themed arts and crafts. There will also be live music throughout the evening from the Carl Motyka Band.

Fans are also encouraged to stop by the Sabres Store sidewalk sale for some of the deepest discounts of the year.

For those who can’t make it to the Art Gallery, Sabres.com will be providing exclusive team coverage with in-depth Sabres reports from Montreal.
