Below is a quick listing of recent activity by some of the Buffalo Sabres' prospects. The list is mainly geared towards North American skaters and is not a complete listing of all prospects.
D Chris Butler, University of Denver (NCAA) - Recent Games: In addition to scoring his own goal in the first period on a Denver power play, Butler added two assists as DU crushes MSU 7-4 on February 10th. DU continued to dominate MSU the following night with a 5-1 victory. Butler recorded assists on DU's first goal of the game in the first period and later in the same period.
TOTALS: 26 GP, 21 PTS (7+14), 20 PIM
D Mike Card, Kelowna (WHL) - Ranks fourth in the WHL among defensemen scoring with a total of 43 points.
Recent games: Against Prince George on February 4th, Card added an assist in the second period as Kelowna takes a 3-1 win. On February 8th against Spokane, Card served a two-minute penalty for roughing in the third as his team finishes with a 4-1 win. Card scored a power-play goal on February 10th versus Vancouver and racked up a total of six minutes in penalties. Despite his efforts, Kelowna fell 4-2 that night. The following night ended in a tough shootout loss against Vancouver, Card had an assist on Kelowna's first goal of the game in the second period on a power play.

G Adam Dennis, London (OHL) - Continues to lead the OHL in wins (35), and is fifth in save percentage (0.914) and goals against average (2.85). He has also moved up four spots into four-way tie for fourth in shootout wins (3).
Recent games: On the February 4, Dennis led London to their fourth win in a row making a total of 29 saves. February 9th, his team faced an overtime loss to Kitchener but his performance earned him first star of the game.
TOTALS: 47 GP, 2.85 AVG, 0.914 SV%, 1428 SV
D Michael Funk, Portland (WHL) - Funk remains ranked eighth in defensive scoring with 38 points.
Recent games: Portland faced Seattle on February 10th with a grueling 9-1 loss. Funk's penalty for holding in the first period was one of a combined 39 penalties from both teams. The following night against Seattle, Funk served a two-minute penalty for hooking as Portland ended the game in a 6-2 loss. With no penalties against Everett, Funk added an assist on Portland's first goal of the game. He was later awarded second star of the game as he scored the only goal of the shootout for his team to walk away with the victory.

C Nathan Gerbe, Boston College (NCAA) - Gerbe had an assist in the first period as BC beats NU 5-3 on February 6th. On February 10th, BC pulled away with another win, this time against PC, as Gerbe assisted teammate Brett Motherwell in the second period. The final score was 8-3.
TOTALS: 24 GP, 14 PTS (8+6), 41 PIM
LW Dylan Hunter, London (OHL) - His 94 points ranks third on the Knights and fourth in the OHL. He ranks second in the league for assists (67) and fourth in power-play assists (45).
Recent Games: Hunter had a strong night against Kingston on February 4th as he contributed two assists and finished a goal of his own. London came away with a 6-2 win and Hunter was named first star of the game. On February 5, he added an assist on the first goal of the game as London routed Mississauga, 7-2. Hunter again earned star status on February 10th as he totaled four assists on London's six goals against Kitchener.

D Andrej Sekera, Owen Sound (OHL) - Recent Games: Sekera had two penalties against Sudbury on February 10th, one for hooking in the second and roughing in the third. His assist in the second and solid play earned him second star of the game that night. Owen Sound notched another win February 11th with Sekera adding a goal in the second. Ending three games in a row with a shootout victory over Belleville, Sekera assisted on the game-tying goal in the third and buried his shot in the shootout. His outstanding efforts were acknowledge with first star of the game.
TOTALS: 40 GP, 47 PTS (16+31), 44 PIM
RW Patrick Kaleta, Peterborough (OHL) - Recent Games: February 9, the Petes took on the Spirit crushing them 6-1 on home ice. In the third period, Kaleta served a five-minute penalty for fighting but added an assist in the first on a power play. Two nights later against Toronto, Kaleta totaled eight penalty minutes and still managed an assist in the third as the game finished in a 5-1 win. Traveling to Oshawa didn't seem to bother the Petes, as the team came away with another blowout, 7-2. Kaleta spent four minutes in the box that night and also contributed two assists.
TOTALS: 53 GP, 39 PTS (15+29), 97 PIM
LW Tim Kennedy, Michigan State (NCAA) - Freshman Kennedy and Justin Abdelkader scored fifteen seconds apart in the first period against OSU combining for the second-fastest, back-to-back MSU goals this season. Kennedy's goal that night was his fourth of the season and second in the last three games. Of those four goals, two stand as game-winners for the Spartans.
TOTALS: 18 GP, 12 PTS (4+8), 14 PIM
RW Drew Stafford, University of North Dakota (NCAA) - With his two goals against MSU on January 20th, Stafford reached 100 points in his 105th career game becoming the 75th player in UND's history to accomplish the feat.
Recent Games: Despite Stafford's two-minute penalty in the first period, for checking from behind, UND pulled away with a 4-2 win over CC on February 3rd.
TOTALS: 32 GP, 33 PTS (18+15), 53 PIM
D Andrew Orpik, Boston College (NCAA) - Recent Games: In a 5-2 victory over NU on February 6th, Orpik was called for interference in the third period.
TOTALS: 25 GP, 7 PTS (3+4), 18 PIM
C Marek Zagrapan, Chicoutimi (QMJHL) - Recent Games: In a tight 3-2 victory over St. John's on February 7th, Zagrapan managed to score the winning goal in the third period. The following night, Chicoutimi fell 5-1 as Zagrapan had the assist on their lone goal of the game. Bouncing back on February 10th, Chicoutimi crushed Rimouski 11-1 as Zagrapan added one goal and one assist.
