Sabres Rookie Camp

July 31, 2006

The Buffalo Sabres are holding a rookie camp from July 31-August 4 at HSBC Arena and the Pepsi Center in Amherst. The players will take part in both on-ice and off-ice workouts. The goals of the camp are to give the prospective players the fundamental ideas of the Sabres playing system, and the conditioning programs of an NHL player.

The camp participants will also study and examine the "new NHL" and its rules, along with techniques that a player must possess to become a successful professional hockey player.

Off-ice sessions will take place at HSBC Arena each morning, followed by on-ice workouts at the Pepsi Center in the afternoon. Tuesday's ice time is from 2-4 p.m., while Wednesday-Friday is 2:30-4:30 p.m. Media are invited to attend the Pepsi Center each afternoon.
