AMERKS UPDATE - 10/25/07
Thursday, 10.25.2007 / 11:23 AM / News
The bright spot for the Amerks lies in Clarke MacArthur, who ranks fourth in the American Hockey League in scoring this year with 10 points (3+7) in nine games, including a two-game streak where he tallied a goal and three assists.
In the 2006-07 season, MacArthur finished October with eight points (3+5) and ended the year with 63 points (21+42) to lead the Amerks in scoring.
ROUGHING IT UP:
Some Sabres fans would be surprised to find out which player leads the Rochester Americans in penalty minutes. Hometown boy, Patrick Kaleta, would be most people's first assumption, but that would be incorrect. Rookie defenseman Mike Weber currently lead Rochester in the tough stuff with 24 penalty minutes in just nine games, including a pair of fighting majors. Kaleta has spent just two minutes in the "sin bin" in as many games played.
