SABRES AGREE TO TERMS WITH NOLAN PRATT
Defenseman Nolan Pratt
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with unrestricted free agent defenseman Nolan Pratt. Pratt is a veteran of 10 NHL seasons, and won a Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2003-04.

The 32-year-old Pratt (6-foot-3, 207 lbs.) spent the past five seasons in Tampa Bay, and played in 163 of the Lightning’s 164 games from 2005-07. For his career, Pratt has 58 points (8+50) in 537 games, along with 507 PIMs. He has also played in 38 Stanley Cup playoff games, including 20 during Tampa Bay’s Stanley Cup championship season.

A native of Fort McMurray, Alta., Pratt was originally drafted in the fifth round (115th overall) of the 1993 Entry Draft by the Hartford Whalers. Over his 10-year career Pratt has played with Hartford/Carolina, Colorado and Tampa Bay.

Pratt played his junior hockey with Portland of the Western Hockey League. In 1994-95, he led the team with 196 PIMs, and led Portland defenseman with 43 points.
