MIKE WEBER RECALLED FROM ROCHESTER
Injuries to two members of the blueline forced the Buffalo Sabres to recall Mike Weber from the Rochester Americans on Sunday.

The status of Nolan Pratt (groin) and Jaroslav Spacek (shoulder) for tonight's game in Montreal is uncertain.

Weber, Buffalo’s second-round selection (57th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, returns for his second tour of duty with the team after recording two penalty minutes in his first two appearances this season.  The 19-year-old defenseman's first NHL experience came against the Florida Panthers on Oct. 26 and then the following night in Tampa Bay.

Weber (6-2, 205 lbs.) has three assists in 13 games with Rochester this season, and leads the Amerks with 30 PIM’s and a plus-five rating.

Weber started last season with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, before being dealt to the Barrie Colts at the OHL trade deadline. In a combined 60 games with Windsor and Barrie, Weber posted career highs in goals (6), assists (28) and points (34), along with 172 PIMs. He also contributed six points (0+7) in seven playoff games.
