AMERKS UPDATE- 11\/5\/07
Dylan Hunter
After blanking the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 at Blue Cross Arena Saturday, the Rochester Americans hope to continue the trend. Looking to extend a three-game winning streak, the Amerks face the Bulldogs Friday night, this time in Hamilton. It has been a steady climb for the Americans who now stand at third place in the North Division and sixth in the Western Conference. They improved to 6-7-1-1 on the year.

HUNTER’S HOT STREAK:

Dylan Hunter has been a surging scoring presence for the Amerks as of late. The winger has tallied seven points (2+5) in three games during November, including a five-point night (2+3) Saturday against the Bulldogs. His efforts earned him the Rbk/AHL Player of the Week Award ending Nov. 5. Finishing the 2006-07 season with 28 points (8+20) in 67 games, Hunter is on pace to shatter those totals and is now third on the team with 11 points (5+6) on the year.

MACARTHUR STILL MIGHTY:

Lighting the lamp with a pair of goals this week, Amerks’ Clarke MacArthur attained the lead in AHL scoring with 18 points (8+10) in 15 games. MacArthur also leads the league in goals and is ranked sixth in assists overall.

KALETA RETURNING:
Patrick Kaleta may be back in the Amerks lineup this week. After suffering a groin injury only two games into the season, the young grinder said he feels "95 percent recovered" according to Rochester's Democrat & Chronicle. He may play against the Hamilton Bulldogs or Syracuse Crunch this weekend.
