Buffalo Sabres | Press Release
|Grinder Patrick Kaleta|
PAT IS BACK
Buffalo native Patrick Kaleta returned to the ice for the Amerks last weekend. After suffering a groin injury Oct. 20 against the Hershey Bears, the winger has missed 13 of the first 15 games this season. The injury stemmed from a preseason match against the Columbus Blue Jackets while Kaleta was in training camp for the Buffalo Sabres. Kaleta saw action in all three games for Rochester in the three-day stand last week, earning a total of seven penalty minutes including a fighting major.
WEBER EARNS AN ‘A’
Defenseman Mike Weber received a pick-me-up after being sent down to Rochester from the Buffalo Sabres. The 19-year-old rookie, and youngest member of the squad, was named an alternate captain for the Amerks Sunday. Weber has collected three assists on the year and is a team-leading +3 through 16 games played. He was called up to Buffalo Oct. 25 to fill in for Sabres’ injured defenseman Jaroslav Spacek.
