The break is over. After playing only one game last week, a 5-4 victory against the Rockland IceHogs, the Rochester Americans have a full holiday weekend scheduled. With three games in three nights, the Amerks face a tough stint against two divisional opponents as well as a match-up with the Lake Erie Monsters. Rochester is currently third in the North Division with 19 points, five points behind the first-place Toronto Marlies.

GRAGNANI GOING STRONG: Rookie Marc-Andre Gragnani leads the Amerks' blueliners in points with 10 (1+9) this season. He is also ranked second in the AHL among rookie defenseman in scoring, two points behind Manchester Monarch's Brian Boyle. Gragnani spent the last four years in the QMJHL with the Prince Edward Island Rockets. He finished last season with 68 points (22+46) in 65 games.

MANCARI MAKING IMPACT: Gragnani is not the only Amerk tallying points. Amerks winger Mark Mancari added two assists in the 5-4 win against the IceHogs, ranking him first on the team in helpers. The 13 assists on the year also rank him 10th in the AHL so far this season.
