Mark Mancari did not disappoint in his first AHL All-Star appearance.

The winger broke the league record for hardest shot when he blasted a 102.8 mph slapshot in the skills competition Jan 27.

The blast put him ahead of the Chicago Wolves’ Kurtis Foster, who set the record at 101 mph in 2003.

Mancari’s offensive presence translated the following weekend in the Amerk’s 3-0 win against the Toronto Marlies.

At 19:07 into the second period Mancari scored the game-winning goal to make the score 1-0. He also added two assists on the night.

Mancari leads the Amerks with 40 points (15+25) in 30 games.
