SABRES SIGN TYLER BOUCK
Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have signed unrestricted free agent forward Tyler Bouck (pronounced BOWK).

Bouck (1/13/1980, 6’0”, 196 lbs.) captained the Portland Pirates (AHL) last season, picking up 29 points (11+18) and 86 PIMs in 79 games. Bouck’s 11 goals matched his career-high set in 2003-04 with Manitoba. Since turning pro in the 2000-01 season, Bouck has also played for Utah, Springfield and Manitoba.

A native of Camrose, Alberta, the 28-year-old Bouck has 12 points (4+8) in 91 career NHL games with Dallas, Phoenix and Vancouver.

Bouck was originally selected in the second round (57th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.  Bouck played junior hockey with the Prince George Cougars (WHL), and he was also a member of Team Canada at the 1999 and 2000 World Junior Championships. Bouck was an assistant captain on the 2000 team that took home a bronze medal.
