The latest interview was with Buffalo Sabres newest defenseman Craig Rivet:

What is the biggest difference between Buffalo and San Jose – first as cities, and also as teams?

"The weather. The climate. The setting. There aren’t too many palm trees here in Buffalo, but both cities have their great qualities.

"As far as the team- a team is a team. As long as you have great guys, you’re going to have a good time and there’s no doubt that here in Buffalo we have a super bunch of guys."

What is the significance of wearing No. 52?

"When I was 17 years old it was my first training camp and that was the number they gave me. When I was called up when I was 20 years old, they had that number waiting for me and I have been using it ever since."

How surprised were you to be awarded the ‘A’ in your first preseason game with the Sabres?

"I was definitely surprised.

"It’s always nice to be acknowledged. I think we have a lot of young players in this room but a lot of guys that have leadership qualities which is really nice. It’s great that a new guy like myself coming in is able to wear that ‘A’ on my jersey and it feels good."

What was it like going up against Rob Ray? Who is the toughest opponent you have ever fought?

"That was a really long time ago with Rob. I was a young guy, probably not as smart as I am now. Looking back on that I kind of scratch my head. I would say he is probably the toughest guy that I’ve ever fought actually."

What has been your biggest surprise since coming to Buffalo?

"I think overall the city and the outskirts where I am living in the Amherst area. It’s beautiful. It’s really nice and just simple. My kids are extremely happy in the schools that they are at and it has really been a nice transition."

If you could pick one team outside of the NHL to have season tickets to, what would it be and why?

"I don’t think I can answer that question. I just about did but I’m not going to answer that. I’m going to keep that to myself."

What song are you embarrassed about having in your iPod?

"I don’t really have it in my iPod but I kind of listen to it on XM Radio a lot – it’s that Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana or whatever.

"My 6-year-old daughter started to get into that stuff and now I’m into it too. I think it’s great."

There weren’t any football teams close to San Jose or Montreal. How do you feel about having the Buffalo Bills so close and have you followed the team so far?

"I love the Bills. WE are doing great.

"Actually in San Jose there is a huge following with the Raiders and 49ers. Obviously in Montreal not having any NFL team it’s quite a bit different. It doesn’t mean quite as much.

"But here in Buffalo it’s been nice. The guys are really into football and it’s fun."

What is your favorite movie quote?

You want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?” from Dumb and Dumber.

"Yeah we’ll go with that one."
