SUPER SUNDAY RESULTS
Approximately 2,500 people traveled to HSBC Arena for the 25th annual Super Sunday, showcasing premier high school hockey in Western New York. To see video highlights from the event, click here.

Dunkirk / Fredonia 2, City Honors 3 (OT)
Western New York Club League
City Honors earned a 3-2 double-overtime victory against the Dunkirk-Fredonia Steelers, with T.J. Jones netting the game-winning goal. City Honors jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals from David Dvorak and Matt Cieslir. Jeff Carlson provided the offense for the Steelers, tying the game up with a pair of scores and sending the contest to overtime.

Cleveland Hill 3, Eden / Lakeshore 2
Southtowns Club League
The Cleveland Hill Eagles hung on to defeat Eden / Lakeshore by a 3-2 score. Chris Zak opened the scoring for the Eagles in the first period with an assist from Kyle Golczewski. Brandon Reynolds widened the gap to 2-0 with a power play goal three minutes later. Ryan Sheehan scored twice to bring Eden / Lakeshore within one, but was not enough to take the lead.

Iroquois / Alden 4, Canisius 1
Southtowns Club League
A pair of short-handed goals led the Iroquois / Alden Chiefs to a 4-1 win against Canisius. Doug Takac and Tony Pellittieri each scored with a man down. Kyle Hartman and Matt Sczczerbiak also added goals for the Chiefs. Alexander Kaempf tallied the lone goal for Canisius.

Hutch Tech 4, McKinley 2
Explorer Club Hockey League
Cory Krawczyk opened the scoring for Hutch Tech en route to a 4-2 victory against McKinley. The Screaming Eagles briefly gained the lead with two goals from Mark Battaglia, but three unanswered scores from the Engineers finalized the win. Pat Garry, Mike Bienias and Lyle Nowak rounded out the scoring for Hutch Tech.

Cheektowaga 3, Depew 4
Western New York Club League
Patrick Gillen tallied the game-winning goal with just over a minute remaining in regulation to lead the Depew Wildcats to a 4-3 win against the Cheektowaga Warriors. Jim LeAir and Dan Gorski opened the scoring for Depew to gain a 2-0 lead through the second period. A goal from Tyler Rudick brought the Warriors within one before Tom Mahoney tied the game at 2-2. Depew’s Danny Giumpa scored to regain the lead before Cheektowaga evened the score with a goal from Mike Gress. Gillen solidified the win for the Wildcats, scoring with 1:14 left on the clock.

Grand Island 2, North Tonawanda 6
Western New York Club League
The North Tonawanda Lumberjax registered four goals in the first period to take a commanding lead over the Grand Island Vikings en route to a 6-2 win. Darren Godfrey and Matt Malley each scored twice for the Lumberjax. Dmitri Novak and Todd Lyness rounded out the scoring for NT. Eddie Weiser scored both goals for the Vikings in the loss.
