BATAVIA RAMPARTS WIN EMPIRE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Batavia Ramparts Bantam B team has won the Regular Season Empire League Title and the Empire League Playdown Championship this past weekend.

With fantastic coaching by Nick Martell (head coach) and Jeff Crane (Asst. coach) this team went 12-1-3 on the season and for the second consecutive season were crowned Empire League Champions.

The Five Star Bank Ramparts bantam B hockey team needed to go to a shootout, but emerged victorious over Monroe County in the league championship game.

The teams ended regulation and overtime tied at two.

Adam Siedlecki and Matt Smith scored for the Ramparts in the shootout with awesome goaltender Tyler Stroud stopping 4 of 5 Monroe County Youth shooters.

Matt Tambe and Tyler Tambe had goals for the Ramparts in regulation, with Collin Crane assisting. Tyler Stroud was brilliant in goal in backstopping Batavia to the title.

In the first round of playdowns, Batavia posted a 4-2 win over Perinton.
Adam Siedlecki, Brandon Habermas, Danny Hinca and Will Smith lit the lamp for the Ramparts, with assists being credited to Siedlecki, Tyler Tambe, Tim Martell and Aubrey Hahn.

In their second playdown game, the Ramparts and Canandaigua ended regulation and overtime tied at 3 before Batavia triumphed in a shootout.

Hahn and Tyler Tambe each had a goal and an assist for the Ramparts, with Habermas also finding the net. Matt Smith also chipped in with an assist.

Batavia still has 2 tournaments left before the conclusion of an awesome season. They also have a highly anticipated game at the HSBC arena against the Depew Saints slated for March 25th at 3pm.
