"Sunday I tried a tape job and today I tried a different tape job. I'm seeing what works and what doesn't work and seeing how the ankle reacts," Miller said. "A lot of what I have to do right now is just make sure I'm keeping that scar tissue active, breaking it up, keeping all the muscles around it active.

"I'm doing the things I need to be doing even though there might be some discomfort. I just have to kind of do some stretching and get through it."
Miller also maintained that while there is still no timetable, his return will likely be before the end of the regular season.
"That's what I'm working for," Miller said. "If I keep doing this kind of stuff and working through it, it pushes the timetable way up. I fully expect to play [this season]. That's what is in my head. Without any setbacks it's very likely that there aren't going to be problems.
"Walking around and everything like that, feels good. It's just kind of confined itself to the way I hurt it, which is a twisting motion almost similar to the way I butterfly. I'm just going to have to keep stretching, working through it and we're hoping that… everyday it gets better."
Miller was hurt Feb. 21 in a game against the New York Rangers when Scott Gomez collided with the goaltender behind the net. He has missed nine games so far with a high ankle sprain.
"Everything to this point has gone well. There really have been no setbacks," Head Coach Lindy Ruff said. "We want him to keep progressing and I hope I get him sooner than later."
