Before you carve your pumpkin, be sure to purchase a carving kit from the grocery store or have the following tools on-hand: spoon, serrated knife, parink knife, nail / pin or toothpick.

Start by cutting out a hole on the top of the pumpkin, around the stem, big enough so that you are able to  scoop out the seeds. Grab a spoon and remove all the seeds from your pumpkin

After you have done so, tape or pin the Sabres logo / Sabretooth pawprint cutout to the pumpkin.

Then using a nail, pin or toothpick, punch holes tracing the outline of the stencil. Remove the stencil from the pumpkin and have your parents, or an adult, help you cut along the lines:

Cut out only the BLACK part of the stencil. Scrape the GRAY parts to shade the light.
