SABRES, DEVILS GAME AVAILABLE IN HD

Buffalo Sabres want to remind fans that tonight’s game in New Jersey is the first of six road games on MSG that will be broadcast in HD this season. Game time is 7 p.m. (HD may not be available on all systems.)

Fans will be able to hear the Sabres’ broadcast team of Rick Jeanneret and Harry Neale, with the production originating from the local MSG crew in HD.

Following are the instructions on how to watch the game on each of the four providers:

For Time Warner Cable subscribers, the game can be seen in HD on Ch. 700, and in SD on your normal channel. Viewers on both channels will hear the Sabres play-by-play announcers.

Those watching on DirecTV and Verizon FiOS will be able to hear the Sabres audio, but it will require switching to the SAP audio channel. The SAP channel can be accessed using a button/menu on your remote control. The SAP feature is likely to be under Audio or Special Features from the MENU button for on-screen programming.

There should be an ON or OFF setting, or options for STEREO, SURROUND SOUND, MONO, or SAP. If you want to hear the Buffalo Sabres broadcast audio, then it should be set to ON or SAP (or Spanish). If these instructions don’t help, please refer to the owner’s manual of your television or service provider.

DirecTV: Game can be seen in HD on Ch. 638. The specific steps to activate SAP depend on the brand and model of your receiver. Your owner's manual will give you the details.

Dish Network: Game can be seen in HD on Ch. 475. The SAP feature will not be available on DISH Network. Viewers are encouraged to tune in to the synched radio broadcast on WGR550.

Verizon FiOS: Game will only be available in SD on Ch. 77. The SAP feed can be selected by using the FiOS TV remote. The customer should follow these steps: On the TV Remote select Menu; scroll down and select Settings; scroll down and select Language; scroll down and select Audio Language; click OK on Remote; select Spanish Preferred; click OK on Remote; then click Exit. (These steps should be repeated at the end of the game to return their language preference back to English.)
