Along with Henrik Tallinder and Andrej Sekera, Lydman is set to head to Vancouver this February - to compete in his second Winter Games as part of Team Finland.
The blueliner, who previously represented the team in 2006, is one of 15 players returning to defend Finland's silver medal.
Lydman notched an assist and 10 PIM in eight games with the Finnish squad in Turino.
