Buffalo Sabres | Press Release
Hats are $25 and will be available in the 100 level pavilion. Proceeds from “Goose” hat sales will go directly to funding many programs and services Camp Good Days provides to children in WNY with cancer.
Buffalo Sabres forward Paul Gaustad has been helping local kids deal with cancer over the past four years. “I am really proud to be a part of this organization,” remarked Gaustad, “I’ve become friends with many of the children that Camp Good Days helps.”
From baking Christmas cookies and playing street hockey with the children to serving as the chairperson of Camp’s Annual Gala, Gaustad has formed a close partnership with the organization.
“I visited a 15 year old Camp Good Days child last week, recovering from his 5th lung surgery. He’s a great kid and to see him smile is priceless. That’s what Camp Good Days does – they make even the sickest of kids smile. I decided I wanted to do more and get more of the community involved.” explained Gaustad “That’s where the idea of the hats came from.”
