The Sabres winger is endorsing a Summer Classic on July 31 at the Sunset Bay Beach Club, featuring a volleyball tournament and fun for the family.
Carnival beach games, live bands and a beer tent will provide entertainment. All proceeds will benefit Kaleta’s charity, the HITS Foundation (Helping Individuals To Smile).
“It’ll be a chance to have some fun, raise some money and hopefully, eventually build that rink and sports complex up in Springville,” Kaleta said of the event, which he hopes to make an annual occurrence.
Other activities include a bounce house, Slip ’n Slide, face painting, sand castle contest, sumo wrestling and car smash, according to the Web site.
It’s not the only event that he’s headlining this summer.
Kaleta has also planned a Golf Tournament at Holland Hills on August 8, as well as a Soccer Tournament in West Seneca beginning August 14.
The events are also set to benefit his foundation, as well as Kaleta’s other charity of choice – the Cradle Beach Club, which serves disabled and disadvantaged children in Western New York.
“Hopefully it’s going to be 90-degree weather, a lot of fun and will support a great cause,” Kaleta said. “I hope to see everybody there.”
Presale tickets for the Summer Classic are $5 and available online, or can be purchased at the door for $7. Kids under the age of 10 are free.
The volleyball tournament costs $80 per team, and fans can register by clicking here.

The mission of the HITS Foundation is to provide financial, facility and program support for underprivileged children and adults, offering opportunities for recipients to participate in activities that would otherwise be unavailable to them. The HITS Foundation enhances their quality of life and enriches the lives of the families and friends that support them, according to the Web site.
