Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today that forward Luke Adam has been recalled from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. The Sabres are in Dallas tonight for an 8 p.m. faceoff.

This is the second recall of the season for Adam (6’2”, 215 lbs., 6/18/1990), who made his NHL debut on Tuesday in Philadelphia. The 20-year-old Adam is currently tied for the Portland team lead in scoring with 13 points (6+7) in nine games. The native of St. John’s, Nfld., recorded his third multi-point game of the season last night with a goal and two assists during Portland’s 6-5 shootout win over Norfolk.

Adam was selected by the Sabres in the second round (44th overall) of the 2008 Entry Draft.
