    NINE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW…
Sabres are 22-10-5 since Jan. 1… The Sabres have sold out nine straight home games; 19 this season… Tyler Ennis has 12 points (6+6) in the last 12 games… The Sabres haven’t lost consecutive games since Feb. 18-20… Mark Mancari has four points (1+3) in his last four games after getting seven (2+5) in the first 25 of his career… The Sabres have allowed only one power play goal in the past nine games (28-for-29)… Buffalo’s 8-3-2 March record is its best since the lockout… Jordan Leopold’s 13 goals are the most by a Sabres defenseman since Alexei Zhitnik scored 15 in 1997-98… Jason Pominiville is one goal from his fifth consecutive 20-goal season…
  • ONE STEP AHEAD OF THE DEVILS
While Buffalo and New Jersey have met three times this season, the teams haven’t seen each other since Nov. 10. A win tonight would give the Sabres three wins in a season against the Devils for only the second time in franchise history, and the first time since they swept the season series 4-0 in 2000-01.
  • THE GLASS IS STAFF FULL
Drew Stafford scored two goals last night vs. Florida in his sixth multi-goal game of the season. Stafford has tied a career high with 45 points (28+17), previously set in 2008-09 (20+25). His 28 goals lead all Sabres skaters.
  • WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS
Jordan Leopold and Drew Stafford scored 13 seconds apart in last night’s 4-2 victory vs. Florida. It was the 13th time this season the Sabres have scored twice in under one minute. Only Boston (14) has done it more times this season.
  • GERBE EXCELS DOWN THE STRETCH
Nathan Gerbe scored both goals in Buffalo’s 2-0 victory at Montreal on Tuesday. Gerbe, who didn’t score a goal until his 21st game of the season and only scored one goal in the first 25 games, has rebounded to score 12 goals in his next 31 games. Buffalo is 8-1-2 when he scores at least once.
  • SEKERA FINDS HIS STRIDE
Andrej Sekera has 16 points (2+14) in his last 14 games after snapping a 19-game pointless skid.
