Only (3) spots remain for the 10th annual Street Hockeyfest set for this weekend at the HSBC Arena. If you haven't already registered, email Jenifer.Dunford@Sabres.com to claim one of the remaining spots in this years tournament. The remaining spots include:

The tournament is open to boys and girls ages 5-17 at a cost of $125 per team. Each team will consist of up to five players and will be guaranteed at least three games in the all-day, rain or shine event. Every player will also receive a Street HockeyFest t-shirt and hat. Trophies will be awarded to the champions of each division. More information about rules and age divisions can be found on the registration page on Sabres.com. This year, the Sabres will also host a tent sale on the HSBC Arena floor during day one of the tournament. The sale will begin Saturday, Aug. 21 at 9 a.m., with a wide array of unique new and used items from HSBC Arena. Items for sale will include arena tables and chairs, posters, media guides, DVDs, office furniture and much more. Cash will be accepted for all sales, with credit cards accepted for some expensive items. All purchased items must be picked up by Sunday, Aug. 22. There will be no returns, as all sales are final. Fans can also take advantage of great deals at the Sabres Store throughout the event.

Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS), will be on site during the event with information about donating blood. Visit UNYTS.org for more information on donating.

Teams will be divided into 11 divisions determined by gender and age/birth year as outlined by 2011-12 USA Hockey age classifications. Microns and Mites are required to wear a helmet and must also be under adult supervision at all times. Divisions are as follows:

Co-Ed: 
  • Micron (6 & under; 2005 and later) – Saturday, Aug. 20
Boys:
  • Mite (8 & under; 2003) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • Squirt (10 & under; 2001-2002) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • Pee Wee (12 & under; 1999-2000) – Sunday, Aug. 21
  • Bantam (14 & under; 1997-1998) – Sunday, Aug. 21
  • Midget (17 & under; 1994-1996) – Sunday, Aug. 21
Girls:   
  • 17 & under (1994) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • 15 & under (1996) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • 13 & under (1998) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • 11 & under (2000) – Saturday, Aug. 20
  • 8 & under (2003) – Saturday, Aug. 20
