The Buffalo Sabres today announced that the team’s annual Fan Food Drive will be kicking off prior to the team’s Nov. 8 game against the Winnipeg Jets. The month-long drive, which is sponsored by Miller Lite and MGD64, will benefit the Food Bank of WNY and fans will be able to make donations before Sabres home games and at the box office at First Niagara Center.

New this year is the opportunity for fans to receive a 50% discount on tickets to the Dec. 9 game against the Florida Panthers. Fans that bring in a 15-pound turkey to the Sabres box office up until Nov. 23 will receive the discount on tickets and also a Buffalo Sabres hat.

Another way fans can give is to text FEEDWNY(3333969) to '80000'. It will automatically donate $10 to the Food Bank of WNY and the donor will be billed by their wireless carrier.

Collection of non-perishable items will take place before the team’s home games on Nov. 8, Nov. 16, Nov. 19 and Nov. 23. Miller Lite and MGD64 will be providing receptacles to collect canned goods and cash donations at the entrances to First Niagara Center and also contributing a monetary donation to the Food Bank of WNY.
