2012 NHL ALL-STAR WEEKEND
Sabres.com was in Ottawa for all the All-Star festivities this past weekend.

The 2012 NHL All-Star weekend kicked off with a procession of hardware. The complete set of NHL trophy's was brought down the Rideau Canal by youth hockey teams and escorted into Fan Fair where they were available for photo-ops all weekend long.
PLAYER FANTASY DRAFTAll of the All-Stars were in attendence at the Lac Leamy Hotel & Casino in Gatineau Quebec for the 2012 All-Star Fantasy Draft. The night was capped off with Jason Pominville being selected to Team Alfredsson for the 2012 NHL All-Starg game.
COMPANIONS IN COURAGENHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine & a host of other NHL'ers were on hand at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario to open the NHL Legacy Playroom.
MEDIA DAYThe press was in swarms on Friday as all players were available for media day. Not only were the players available for comment, but they also found out what events they would be competing in the next night at the Super Skills Competition.
JUNIOR SKILLS COMPETITIONKids aged 7-12 competed in the finals of the Canadian Tire Junior Skills Competition. All attendees competed in five events on the Rideau Canal after winning local competitions in their hometowns.
JASON POMINVILLESix years ago, Jason Pominville began his journey to Ottawa. Scoring an iconic goal in Sabres history that eliminated the Senators from the playoffs, Pominville returns to the scene of the crime and talks about his path that brought him to the 2012 NHL All-Star Game.
SUPER SKILLS COMPETITIONJason Pominville was the anchor in the Super Skills Relay & was in the final two in the Elimination Challenge. Rookie Luke Adam represented Team Chara in the hardest shot competition managed to break 90 miles per hour with his slapper.
ALL-STAR GAMEThe 2012 NHL All-Star game was a back-and-forth battle between two great teams. After it was all said and done, Sabres captain Jason Pominville & the rest of Team Alfredsson found themselves on the losing end of a 12-9 game. Pominville finished the night with 2 points (1+1) and was a plus/minus 1 on the night.
