The Buffalo Sabres today announced they will be holding an online auction of game-worn home and third jerseys from the 2011-12 season.

The auction will begin Thursday, March 29 at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 8. Fans can access the auction by logging onto the auction section of NHL.com.

Each jersey will come with a certificate of authenticity and all proceeds from the auction will directly benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation that is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Western New York region. In that process, the Buffalo Sabres Foundation strives to assist worthwhile organizations that make this region a better place to live and work. The primary focus of the foundation is to assist youth hockey initiatives,  support children's health and wellness initiatives, specifically those that serve the underprivileged and handicapped, and  provide support to non-profit organizations that provide vital services to those in need in our community.
