JT Compher, Justin Bailey and Gustav Possler will be among those at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. on Aug. 3-10.

J.T. Compher, Justin Bailey and Gustav Possler will be among those at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. on Aug. 3-10. The camp will see the four countries practice and play each other in exhibition games.

Team USA features two future Sabres in second-round picks in Compher (No. 35 overall) and Buffalo native Bailey (No. 52 overall). The Americans will initially split their camp up into two teams. Compher will skate for Team White while Bailey will dress for Team Blue.

Compher helped the U.S. Men’s National Under-18 Team win the silver medal at the 2013 IIHF Men’s Under-18 World Championship in Sochi, Russia in April. He’s also won gold as a member of that team in 2012.

Possler, picked by Buffalo in the fifth-round (No. 130 overall), will represent Team Sweden.

Rasmus Ristolainen
, Buffalo’s top pick (No. 8 overall), was scheduled to be in attendance for Team Finland but was removed from the roster Thursday. He’s played for the Finnish junior team the last two years.

The 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship is scheduled to take place from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5, 2014 in Malmo, Sweden.

Kris Baker of Sabres Prospects will have recaps of every game involving Sabres players here at Sabres.com. Also look for exclusive blog posts from Bailey throughout the week.
