STREET HOCKEYFEST FAQs
Find out everything you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask about the 13th annual Buffalo Sabres Street HockeyFest that will take place on Sunday, August 24. Due to the construction surrounding First Niagara Center, the one-day tournament will take place on the surface parking lots between Mississippi and Columbia.
When will schedules be released?
Start times for all teams will be posted on Sabres.com by end of the day on Thursday, August 21. Full schedules will be available at check-in on Sunday.
What time is check-in? Where is check in?
Check-in opens at 8 a.m., and is located under a tent in the middle of the First Niagara Center surface parking lot
Where can I park?
Free parking for all participants is available in the First Niagara Center parking ramp. This is the ONLY location for free parking, other lots surrounding the surface lot are not First Niagara Center property and are subject to ticketing.
Can we bring chairs, tents, coolers, etc?
Spectators are permitted to bring their own chairs, coolers, etc., however we reserve the right to ask spectators to move or take down their set-up for space/safety concerns. Tents are not permitted. No alcohol will be permitted.
How long is the event?
Preliminary rounds are scheduled to end for ALL divisions by mid-afternoon. Smaller divisions will end earlier. Playoffs will begin in the afternoon and playoff teams should anticipate staying until approximately 6 p.m. All scheduling is subject to change.
What if it's raining?
This is a rain or shine event. In the event of severe weather, Buffalo Sabres staff will make the decision to cancel the tournament.
Will food/drinks be available for purchase?
Food/drinks will be available for purchase under the concessions tent located in the center of the surface lot.
