SABRES EMCEE PROFILE

Name: Brian Norton

What do you do for a living?

I am a University student, currently pursuing a degree In Business Administration. I also work for a Heating and Air-Conditioning company

What 3 adjectives would you use to best describe yourself?

Tall, loud and easy going. I am a big guy, tough to miss in a crowd and I’ve lived my life knowing I’ll never just blend in so why bother now. I like to be heard and am always looking to have a good time, no matter what it takes.

What is your favorite movie?

Any movie with Will Ferrell ( i.e.- Old School, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory, Wedding Crashers). Though I cannot leave out, Indiana Jones, Rocky (all of them except #5, it was the worst) and Slap Shot.

What is your favorite song?

Whenever I hear AC/DC’s you “shook me all night long” unless I am in a straight jacket (which has never happened, just to clarify) I have to play air guitar.

Who is your favorite Singer/Band?

I am a fan of artists like Toby Keith, Justin Timberlake, Garth Brooks, AC/DC and Finger Eleven.

Who is your favorite current Buffalo Sabres player?

I will keep it plain and simple, Thomas Vanek is the present and the future of this hockey club. Honorable mention would have to go to Ryan Miller.

Who is your all time favorite Buffalo Sabres player?

Alexander Mogilny, Pat Lafontaine and Rob Ray. Each of these guys had the ability to get you up and out of your seat in their own way.

What was your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment came in the most uncomfortable place you could imagine…. a men’s washroom in New Jersey. During the 1999 NHL playoffs, I wanted to know what channel I would be able to watch the Leafs/ Flyers. As I was washing my hands, preparing to exit the washroom, another man walked in and I happened to ask him if he “Followed hockey” he responded with “ Do I feel lucky?”…. Needless to say I quickly back peddled, explained myself thoroughly and vowed never to speak in a men’s washroom again.

If you were a Superhero, what would your superpower be?

I would want to have the superpower that no superhero has ever had. The power and ability to be in two places at the same time, as well as, the strength and ability to recover from any injury.  If I could be here and there at the same time, no one would ever catch on and I would be the super-est of all superheroes.
