Q. Why are tickets made available on the day of the game and not sooner?
A. Per CBA rules, we have to hold a specified number of tickets to each home game for players, families, etc. We are not permitted to release those seats until the day of the game.
Q. Is Sabres Standby available for ALL home games?
Q. When will Sabres Standby be open for games?
A. Sabres Standby will open 48 hours prior to each game. For example, for our home game versus the New York Rangers on Friday, April 19th @ 7PM, Sabres Standby will open Wednesday, April 17th @ 7PM.
Q. How do I secure a spot in line on Sabres Standby for a specific game?
A. Beginning 48 hours prior to the game, log onto www.sabres.com, select the TICKETS tab, and click on Sabres Standby. On the Sabres Standby page, select the game you want, fill out the requested information and then select SUBMIT. You can also access the Sabres Standby page directly by typing www.sabres.com/standby into your Internet Browser.
Q. By getting on Sabres Standby, am I guaranteed tickets to the game I choose?
A. No. We will do our best to satisfy as many individuals on Sabres Standby as possible, however due to limited ticket availability and high demand; we may not be able to satisfy all requests.
Q. Will I be able to select seating locations and quantity of tickets through Sabres Standby?
A. Yes. During the registration process for Sabres Standby, you will be asked to select your first and second options for seat locations (100, 200 or 300 Level). You will also be asked to select the number of tickets you would like for the game.
Q. Will there be any additional fees or service charges to the ticket price through Sabres Standby
Q. How will you determine who gets tickets and who doesn’t get tickets?
A. The program will operate on a first come, first serve basis. The earlier you sign up for a specific game (starting 48 hours prior to game time), the better chance you have of securing tickets.
Q. When will I be contacted about tickets for the game?
A. A Sabres Concierge will start contacting individuals on Standby 6 hours prior to game time.
Q. Should I call Sabres Customer Service on the day of the game to check on the status of my ticket request through Sabres Standby?
A. A Sabres Concierge will contact you if we are able to satisfy your request for tickets. Please do not contact the Sabres directly.
Q. Once I’m contacted and offered tickets, how long do I have to accept the seats?
A. 30 minutes.
Q. Why do I need to give my credit card information during registration?
A. We need your credit card information to hold your tickets.
Q. When will my credit card be charged?
A. Your credit card will not be charged until we have secured seats for you and you have accepted your tickets.
Q. How will I be contacted?
A. During the registration process for Sabres Standby, you will be asked the most direct way to contact you during the date of the specific game (phone, email or text). If we have tickets available for you, a Sabres Concierge will contact you utilizing your preferred method of direct contact on the day of the game.
Q. Where will I pick up my tickets through Sabres Standby?
A. If you accept and purchase the tickets, you will pick the tickets up at the First Niagara Center box office at the Sabres Standby window.
Q. Can I leave tickets that I obtained through Sabres Standby under someone else’s name?
A. Yes. That can be coordinated through the Sabres Concierge.
