From the boardroom to the draft room to the dressing room, fans will be given an all-access pass to the entire Sabres organization throughout the entire 2013-14 NHL season.
EPISODE #16: DOMINIK HASEK
Considered to be one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history, Dominik Hasek returned to Buffalo on March 29 to be inducted into the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame. This episode of BB&G highlights that ceremony along with his memorable Sabres career that featured a plethora of highlight-reel saves. In addition, long-time Sabres equipment manager Rip Simonick and play-by-play legend Rick Jeanneret share their many Hasek recollections.
EPISODE #15: TRADE DEADLINE 2014
This season's trade deadline was one of the more eventful in recent Sabres franchise history. Not only did it mark the first for new GM Tim Murray, but it signaled the end of an era when goaltender Ryan Miller was dealt to the St. Louis Blues along with captain Steve Ott. This was one of several moves that Murray pulled off as he began the process of rebuilding the Sabres. Go into the war room with Murray and his team on deadline day and find out how some of Buffalo's deals were consummated.
EPISODE #14: TIM MURRAY
With more than 20 years of NHL front office experience, Tim Murray has been tabbed with leading the new direction of the Buffalo Sabres hockey department. Murray was introduced as the seventh General Manager in franchise history on January 9, and was quickly thrust into the spotlight of hockey-crazy Buffalo. Murray's no-nonsense approach and wealth of hockey knowledge should serve him well as he charts a new course for Sabres hockey.
EPISODE #13: THE PARENTS TRIP
For both the players and their families, the annual parents trip has become one of the most anticipated road trips of the Sabres' season. Not only does it help break up the long season, it gives both groups some much needed time together. This year, the parents joined the players on the team's four-day trip to Phoenix and Colorado. While the Sabres split the two games, it was their time together on the off days that they'll remember for a long time.
EPISODE #12: TYLER ENNIS
Tyler Ennis has become a fan favorite in Buffalo since he was drafted in the first round of the 2008 Entry Draft from the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers. But the flashy foward with the quick hands has done most of his talking on the ice, and not much off it. Find out what drives the 24-year-old Ennis to succeed, and learn more about what he's like away from the rink in his sparsely-decorated downtown condo.
EPISODE #11: FROZEN FRONTIER
Experience the unforgettable Frozen Frontier, the Rochester Americans' first-ever outdoor game, which took place Dec. 13 in Rochester. Amerks players and coaches prepared for a once-in-a-lifetime game that provided lasting memories for everyone who braved the below-average temperatures and wintry conditions to witness Rochester win in dramatic fashion. Amerks head coach Chadd Cassidy was wired for sound in the locker room and during play, providing exclusive sounds of the game.
EPISODE #10: THE NEW REGIME
Learn more about Pat LaFontaine and Ted Nolan, the old faces behind the new Sabres hockey regime. The two fan favorites returned to the organization on November 13, ringing in a new era for the franchise. Nolan is back behind the bench as the team's interim head coach, while LaFontaine has assumed the newly-created position of President of Hockey Operations.
EPISODE #9: VILLE LEINO
Venture off the ice, and into the home of Ville Leino to experience a never-before-seen side of the Finnish forward. From art to music, you'll quickly learn there's more to Leino than meets the eye.
EPISODE #8: THE NETMINDERS
They say goaltenders are a unique breed, and that's definitely the case for the Buffalo duo of Ryan Miller and Jhonas Enroth. Sharing the goaltending spotlight is never easy, but these two teammates have found a way to co-exist in one of the most mentally and physically demanding positions in sports. But while they may seem very different on the ice, you'll be surprised to learn they share may of the same personality traits off it.
EPISODE #7: MEET THE FOLIGNOS
It’s not every day you can go to work against your brother. Marcus and Nick Foligno, the sons of former Sabres captain Mike Foligno, sit down to talk about what it was like growing up in a hockey-crazy family. They reflect on skating with Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg when they were kids and Marcus’ first NHL game, which was against Nick.

EPISODE #6: CAPTAINS
Prior to the start of the season, Thomas Vanek and Steve Ott were named captains of the Buffalo Sabres. Vanek will serve as captain during home games while Ott will wear the “C” on the road. The two veteran forwards sit down to discuss what the shared captaincy means to them, the positive influence they try to have on the younger players on the roster and their goals for the team moving forward.
EPISODE #5: GAMEDAY SIGHTS & SOUNDS
See and hear what it's like to be on the ice and in the locker room on a Buffalo Sabres game day. Drew Stafford, Mike Weber and coach Ron Rolston were Mic'd Up when the Sabres hosted the Columbus Blue Jackets in a preseason game at First Niagara Center on Sept. 25.
EPISODE #4: PROSPECTS TOURNAMENT
In early September, a team full of Sabres youngsters ventured north to Traverse City, Michigan, for the annual NHL Prospects Tournament. Buffalo returned to this scenic vacation spot as defending champions, having defeated the New York Rangers for the title in 2011. Rochester Americans coach Chadd Cassidy was charged with leading this group, which featured recent first-round picks Zemgus Girgensons, Rasmus Ristolainen and Nikita Zadorov. Go behind closed doors to find out what was on the minds of players, coaches and management during this very important annual event.
EPISODE #3: DEVELOPMENT CAMP
For three days in July, the future of the Buffalo Sabres gathered at First Niagara Center for a crash course in what it takes to become a professional hockey player. Whether it was listening to head coach Ron Rolston talk about the development process, or being taught the proper skating technique by coach Dawn Braid, it was back to school for many of the prospects. But there was also a chance to bond, as evidenced by the team outing to a local go-kart track. This episode also includes interviews with new Rochester Americans head coach Chadd Cassidy, and Sabres prospects Mark Pysyk and Zemgus Girgensons.
EPISODE #2: 2013 NHL ENTRY DRAFT
Get an in-depth look at Buffalo's preparations for the NHL Entry Draft that took place in New Jersey on June 30, including exclusive audio from the draft table with Darcy Regier and Kevin Devine. The award-winning series “Beyond Blue & Gold” is back for a second season with a behind-the-scenes look at the scouting combine the Buffalo Sabres hosted prior to the 2013 NHL Draft. See what physical and psychological factors the scouting department takes into account when evaluating talent and ranking prospects. This episode features interviews with Sabres Director of Amateur Scouting Kevin Devine, Strength and Conditioning Coach Doug McKenney and Mental Skills Coach Dr. Barbara Meyer.
