Aces & Blades and the Buffalo Sabres Corporate Challenge are the primary fundraisers for the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. Aces and Blades is an exciting night of casino gaming where Sabres players are the dealers and Sabres fans are the VIP’s. Black Jack tables and Roulette wheels fill the room along with rare sports memorabilia, which is auctioned for sale during the evening. Players and guests alike enjoy a unique evening of hockey and high stakes at Aces and Blades. This year’s event was held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 7-11pm at the Adam's Mark hotel in downtown Buffalo.
The Buffalo Sabres Corporate Hockey Challenge is a 16-team, 3-on-3 hockey tournament, held at HSBC Arena. Each team gets a little help from a member of the Sabres Alumni including Sabre legends: Gilbert Perrault, Rick Martin, Danny Gare, John Tucker and many others. The day is capped with happy hour and dinner for all of the participants where they have a chance to tell their tales of glory as they recap their moments on the Buffalo Sabres home ice. The Buffalo Sabres Corporate Hockey Challenge was held on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at HSBC Arena.
