All the action of Sabres’ hockey can be heard on WGR Sports Radio 550 AM. Calling the action will be the television tandem of Rick Jeanneret and Harry Neale. The Sabres will simulcast on radio each game televised on the MSG Network. Listen to Sabres broadcasts throughout Western and Central New York through the Sabres Radio Network: Buffalo - WGR 550-AM; Batavia - WBTA 1490-AM; Jamestown - WKSN 1340-AM; Olean - WMXO - 101.5 FM; and in Dunkirk - WDOE 1410 AM.
Jeanneret earned his start in 1963 while attending a Niagara Falls Flyers (Junior A) game in which he filled in for the regular announcer who had taken ill. He went on to become the color analyst for one season before moving to the play-by-play position in 1965. A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Jeanneret currently resides in Niagara Falls, Ontario, with his wife, Sandra. Rick has two sons, Mark and Chris. Harry Neale Popular analyst Harry Neale joined the Sabres broadcast team prior to the 2007-08 season. Serving in the same capacity for CBC's "Hockey Night in Canada," Neale has broadcast 20 consecutive Stanley Cup Finals. Neale was the hockey analyst for CBC’s coverage of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City and the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano. A former NHL head coach and general manager, Neale worked with the Vancouver Canucks from 1978-82 (head coach and GM), and with the Detroit Red Wings from 1985-86 (head coach). The New York resident began his career as coach of the NCAA’s Ohio State Buckeyes hockey team in 1966, and also served as coach of the New England Whalers and Minnesota Fighting Saints of the World Hockey Association, and the Ontario Hockey Association’s Toronto Marlboros. |
